Ryan McCosky

In addition to his duties with the baseball program, McCosky also serves as the Panther Recreation coordinator.

Along with reaching the NAIA World Series for the first time in 2015, the Panthers, under McCosky's guidance, tallied 128 doubles and stole 94 bases on 132 attempts. Defensively, the Panthers owned a .962 fielding percentage.

McCosky spent the last four years at fellow Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foes Concordia, where he served the interim head coach, head JV coach and assistant coach while earning his Master’s degree.

For three summers, McCosky had coached for the Grand Rapids Diamonds, working closely with the Under-16 and Under-18 teams. Both teams had won back-to-back Black Swamp tournament championships in Ohio. 

While with the Cardinals McCosky spent time coaching third base and worked with the outfielders as well as running the strength and conditioning program. He also coached for the Michigan Sports Academy travel baseball program for two summers as head coach of both the 16U and 18U teams. in addition, he served as a hitting instructor for the US Baseball Academy during the winter months. 

McCosky played two seasons at Kalamazoo Valley Community College before transferring to Concordia. He was All-Conference and All-Academic as an outfielder in his final season.
