Nicholle St. Pierre

St. Pierre is no stranger to NCAA Division III lacrosse as she has served as the head coach at Wittenberg University for the past three seasons.

During her time at Wittenberg, St. Pierre led the Tigers to a combined 35-15 record, including a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Regular Season Championship in her first season in 2015. She followed that up with a second-place finish in the conference in 2016. Her teams earned Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad honors all three years she was at the helm, posting a 3.22 cumulative GPA. St. Pierre also graduated the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2015, the NCAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2016 and three IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region honorees.

Other duties while at Wittenberg included directing camps and clinics, organizing the team’s fundraising, managing game-day for both the men’s and women’s soccer teams, co-facilitating and teaching a First Year Seminar, participating in the Branch Rickey Mentoring program within the NCAC and serving as a member of the Regional Advisory Committee for Division III.

Prior to her time at Wittenberg, St. Pierre was an assistant coach at Division II Philadelphia University for two seasons where her main focus was working with the goalies and defense. In 2013, St. Pierre’s first season, the Rams finished 14-5, which was the team’s best finish at the time under Head Coach George Chris-Luca. One season later, Philadelphia was ranked in the Top 20 in Division II and received votes for the national poll with a 17-1 season that landed the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship. Philadelphia graduated two IWLCA Division II Third Team All-Americans, one Philadelphia Inquirer Women’s Lacrosse Academic All-Area Performer of the Year and one student-athlete who was awarded the Fulbright U.S. Student award during her time as an assistant coach.

At the club level, St. Pierre coached two different teams from April 2011 to September 2013 -- Aftershock Lacrosse Club and Quaker City Lacrosse Club -- where she planned practices, organized tournament schedules and handled all the on- and off-the-field coaching responsibilities.

St. Pierre’s lacrosse experience is not just limited to being a coach, however, as she was a member of the Division I Temple University women’s lacrosse program from August 2007 to May 2011. During her freshman year, the Owls won both the Atlantic 10 Regular Season and Conference Championship, earning a berth into the NCAA Tournament. She is a two-time recipient of the “T” Means More award for her strong dedication and passion to Temple lacrosse on and off the field and was named team captain her senior year.

St. Pierre earned her Bachelor of Arts in speech, language and hearing from Temple University in 2011.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the superior experience you all provided at the recent Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse camp in BW. This was truly well done from check in to check out and our daughter had a ball. Of particular note was the excellent coaching staff. We had the opportunity on four occasions to come and observe. Each time we saw care, professionalism, passion and skill being passed on to the participants...it was really inspiring for the kids and us as well. In particular, your emphasis on teaching individualized skills on a daily basis, positive reward as a teaching philosophy and helping them understand the power of being a team player were especially evident. Thanks!
