1 Is Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camp better for a specific position?

No, not at all. Each summer we have positional directors and coaches for each position on the field. All of these directors and coaches have years of experience at the highest levels and are tremendous teachers of the game. You’ll learn a ton, no matter if you’re a Goalie, Defenseman, LSM, Midfielder, or Attackman!

2 What level of player is Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camp suited for?

We have players from the youth level right up to the JV and Varsity levels. Our overnight camps are for beginner/intermediate (at least one spring season played) to elite players. Our camps are widely known for our ability to “teach” and we take great pride in making you a better player, no matter if you’re a beginner or a star on the Varsity.

3 What is your Refund Policy?

If you have to cancel, for any reason, we will issue you a camp voucher for all camp fees paid, valid through the following camp summer. Your camp voucher is transferable to any family member and may be used in the sport that you are initially registered in. Cash refunds will be given only with the purchase of Cancellation Protection. (View details here.)

4 How do I get my registration packet which includes when to arrive, what to bring, directions, health form, etc.?

You will receive email confirmation within twenty four hours of registering online. Go to the Xcelerate Lacrosse Camps home page and click the MyCamps link on the top of the page. Follow directions from there. Most registration packets are available by the first week in May.

5 What happens if my camp is cancelled?

If your camp is cancelled, a representative from our office will contact you with a number of alternative options or we will issue you a full refund.

6 What are the ages of the campers and how are they divided?

Our Overnight Camps are for campers ages 10-17. Our Day Camps are for campers ages 5-16. Please check your specific camp page for details. Campers are divided by grade and ability level throughout the camp week. We make sure each camper is challenged yet comfortable in their surroundings, enabling skill level improvement.

7 Where do overnight campers reside?

All campers, staff, and directors will reside in the dormitories at the overnight camps. Most of the dorms are air-conditioned, however please be sure to check your particular camp site to make sure this is the case. If air-conditioning is not available, fans are allowed. If boys and girls camps take place at the same time and location, the campers will either stay in separate dorms or separate floors with the appropriate supervision in place. Most of our overnight camps have dorm rooms for two campers. However, there are a few triples available at select camps.

8 What do campers do after the night session?

The fun doesn’t end on the lacrosse field. We have a number of things planned each summer for campers during off-field time. Here are a few things we do:

  • Swimming Pool Time (select camps)
  • Game Room, foosball, ping pong (select camps)
  • PG Movies (select camps)
  • Demonstrations of stick stringing, college talk, and question and answer sessions (select camps)

9 Who are the camp trainers? What do they do?

There is an Athletic Trainer and/or Medical Emergency Staff Member on the field at all times and available off the field on a need be basis. The trainer will provide any necessary and appropriate treatment as he or she sees fit. In the case of a true emergency, it is an Xcelerate Lacrosse Camp policy to call 911. Water is available on the field at all times. Campers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to the field and keep bottled water and sports drinks in their rooms.

10 How do I get a job at an Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Camp or one of the US Sports Camps?

We start hiring our staff members in the late winter months and continue hiring into the summer depending on our needs. If you are interested in applying for a position, please email the appropriate sport mailbox here and we will forward on your information to any director looking for additional staff.
